My Capstone Experience - Business Project required me to research Temple University's Women's Rowing Team and its recent seasons. The media guides here have yet to be updated since 2019, so I was tasked with creating a media guide highlighting each of these lost seasons. This project required me to keep in contact with people on Temple's rowing staff, research the sport of rowing, and understand how to find obscure statistics that were needed for this specific media guide. Overall, I learned a lot from this project, such as information about Temple, the sport of rowing, and even rivers and lakes where rowing events were held. This project also taught me how to manage time and conduct research, which will be very important in my future.

Words of Wisdom

  • Number 1: Do not procrastinate. The deadlines for this project will sneak up on you if you are not working on it consistently.
  • Number 2: Do not be afraid to ask questions. My project involved something I had never studied, and asking questions was a huge reason why I finished this project successfully.
  • Number 3: Put in the work. The more work you put in, the prouder you will be of the final result!
